DIY Macrame Shawl

I saw a bunch of macrame and crocheted shawls and ponchos online and decided to try to make one using macrame.  Here's what I did!

I had to hang my shawl on a door to make it because it was too long and too wide to work with flat on a table.  I'm happy with how it turned out.  The photos are in order, and if you want to know details you can email me and I will be more than happy to share them with you.  

The number of cords and their lengths are listed below.  Buy (2) - 3mm skeins of macrame cord.  It will give you extra.   I used the brand you see below, which I got at Hobby Lobby.  It's good cord and the most inexpensive I have found for the amount you get.  This cord can also be "shredded", or pulled apart, to make the fringe you see at the bottom of the shawl.  Avoid getting 'braided' cord, which is generally not shreddable, if you want to make fringe.
