I made a winter headband with chunky yarn. I lined it with a two-way stretch knit. It took much longer to complete than I thought it would, based on how small a project it seemed to be. I'm happy enough with the result. But macrame-ing with yarn is more challenging than with rope/cord. It's easy to over-tighten the yarn, in which case the knots disappear.
