5-Strand Garnet & Silver Clay Bracelet

I love working with silver clay.  If you've never heard of it, it is a really cool product that consists of actual silver powder suspended in a clay-like binder which can be molded into any shape and fired with a creme brulee torch or in a jewelry kiln.  I made a flattened bead (in the middle of bracelet strands) from some leftover finesilver clay, which I prefer because it does not require a kiln.  The 2 endcap-type beads are also made of silver clay.  The silver balls I purchased.

The beads I chose were garnet chips, and the wire is inexpensive silver-toned flexible beading wire, which you can find at any craft or hobby store that carries jewelrymaking supplies.  Crimp covers, shown below, are also a favorite finding or component of mine.  They resemble rounded clam shells and are used to cover crimped crimp beads.  You simply position the crimped crimp bead inside of the crimp cover and use a jewelry pliers to close the cover around the crimp bead.  It lends a more finished and professional look to necklaces and bracelets.
